"The 2019 Gigondas Les Murailles showed beautifully, with considerable elegance as well as a Provençal charm in its kirsch liqueur, blackberry, cedary garrigue, and loamy soil-like aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied and elegant on the palate as well, it has silky tannins and a great finish. It’s going to drink nicely right out of the gate yet also evolve for 10-12 years."

"This offers up perfumed plum, boysenberry and black cherry compote notes that pump along nicely, picking up licorice, garrigue and a subtle mineral thread along the way. Nicely packed on the finish. Best from 2022 through 2032. 500 cases made, 60 cases imported."

"Scents of crushed stone, black cherries, leather and licorice emerge. It is full-bodied and ripe while remaining structured, with fine-grained tannins supporting a plump, fleshy palate and turning softly dusty on the long finish. It should drink well for a decade or more."
