Description
93 points Wine Enthusiast
"Just below Les Rugiens and close to the village, this vineyard has produced a soft style for a Pommard. It emphasizes richness as much as structure, with full-bodied black fruits and a juicy aftertaste. Tannins show at the end, promising further aging. Drink from 2024 ." *Cellar Selection*
Vinous Reverie Notes
This family Domaine traces its ancestry back as far as 1783. Today Domaine Lejeune is owned by the Jullien de Pommerol family. François Jullien de Pommerol (former oenology professor at Beaune's Lycée Viticole) takes charge of the wineyards and the winemaking. The objective here is to fashion Pommard in the traditional style. Tasting Notes: Bold nose of red flowers and earth with hints of tanned leather; very approachable now; round and full in the mouth again presenting a very earthy, savory expression of Pommard; very old-school in that way; fresh mushroom, toasty oak, and brown herbs though the finish.
