Description
92 points Wine Spectator
"Black currant and black cherry flavors are enmeshed in the dense matrix of this red. Broad-shouldered and solid on the finish, this needs food or time to knit together. Very fresh and long. Best from 2018 through 2030. 50 cases imported."
Vinous Reverie Notes
Les Baudes is one of the 24 Premier Cru vineyards of the commune of Chambolle-Musigny. The commune is unique in the Cote de Nuits for its soils: chalky over hard bedrock, which stresses the vines. This Pinot is fermented in vats for up to 4 weeks, then aged 18 to 20 months in oak barrels before bottling. Tasting Notes: With a powerful nose of red berries, this wine is nevertheless delicate, with a silky texture and graceful finish. It will develop for 15 to 20 years in the bottle. Food Pairing: This wine is a lovely match with meats in sauce, game and strong cheeses.
