91 points Wine Spectator
"Rich, round and stitched together with ripe cherry and raspberry fruit, this fluid red also delivers leafy vegetal and spice notes, with hints of earth and oak spice. Lingers nicely on the finish. Best from 2026 through 2042. 195 cases imported."
Jancis Robinson
"Cask sample. Pale crimson. Medium-intensity well-knit nose. Very fine and with a really rather beautiful spine of ripe fruit and just the right corset to see it through as it ages. Pure and fine. 17/20 points."
Vinous Reverie Notes
Beaune Boucherottes is one of 36 Premier Cru vineyards in the Beaune appellation. The high number of Premiers Crus is accounted for by the situation of most of the Beaune vineyards on a slope, which gives them superior sun exposure. Beaune Boucherottes lies at the southern end of the commune, where it shares a border with Pommard. The deep clay soil of this 21-acre vineyard gives lushness to the wine. Tasting Notes: A full-bodied, aromatic Pinot Noir with a rich roundness of fruit and plump texture arrayed around a rigorous structure. This wine will develop favorably in the bottle for 12 to 15 years. Food Pairing: This wine has the structure to pair well with most meats, even those with strong sauces, as well as cheeses.
