"This wine transposes the sparse calcareous soil and Hanspeter Ziereisen's subtle winemaking, which uses about 50% whole bunch fermentation in closed tanks to protect the fruit and later maturation in barrique, 20% new. A rather unique spicy bouquet of juniper, herbs, liquorice and a hint of eucalyptus, very dense and intense on the palate with spicy tannins and tense acidity. No mainstream wine, this has a strong character of its own with a long future ahead of it"

"A scent of blueberries and cherries with herbal notes, elderberries, forest honey, wild beny confit, smoke, pepper, cloves and juniper berries. Dry and full-bodied in the mouth, very dense, pushing the extraction to the limit, almost painfully loaded with extracts, but at the same time with a smooth and fruity background. For the long haul."

Full-bodied, wide, intense and elegant on the palate, this is a generous but also clear, refined and refreshing Pinot with vibrant mineral tension and all the finesse Pinot Noir can deliver. The wine is not utterly complex or big but tight, fresh, pure and authentic, with a pure and cleansing finish. On top premier cru level, if you like to taste in a fair blind tasting. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted from lot L 33 21 over 11 days in June 2022."
