Description
90 points Falstaff
"Quite complex in the fragrance: mandarin, red apple, marjoram. On the palate soft and round in the beginning, proportions typical of the vintage, finely rounded, mild and playful despite the rather subtle acidity."
Vinous Reverie Notes
In 1845 Jodocus Prum built the world famous sun dial on the rocks in the Lammerterlay. Originally is was intended as a chronometer for the vineyard workers. Wehlener Sonnenuhr is facing south-southwest with a slope of up to 70%. Terroir: 80 years old vines on stony and weathered clay-slate. Tasting Notes: A tender golden-yellow in the glass. The wine presents a nose of herbs, exotic fruit, melon and pink grapefruit which is so typical for this vineyard site. Astringent. Very long on throat and tongue. Slate fills the palate. Juicy and tender at the same time, powerful and nonetheless light.
