"In 2018, they added a third "paraje" bottling, the 2018 La Mira, which is from three small plots in the zone of El Galayo, where the soils are rich in slate and the altitude is about 900 meters. The grapes were handpicked the third week of September, and they used 15% full clusters for the fermentation with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats. The élevage of this cuvée was in a two 3,000-liter Slovenian oak vat and lasted 14 months. This is super aromatic and expressive, with great finesse, notes of yellow flowers and tangerine peel, really showy. This is the gentler of the slate wines: it has a finer texture, smoother tannins and really focused, clean and precise flavors, with great length. It's a really complete and harmonious wine. This is delicious, and it's impressive that this is only the first vintage of this wine, because in 2017 they lost the grapes to hail. Bravo! 7,500 bottles and 250 magnums produced. It was bottled in December 2019."
"100% Garnacha at 1,000 m elevation. Spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks with 30% whole cluster. Aged in old 225-litre barrels and one 20-hl foudre.
Tasted blind. Quite clean and pure nose. Very expressive fresh fruit, sweet aromas presented in a very elegant way. This is a less-is-more wine. Soft and pleasant palate with refreshing acidity and a brilliant flavour expression. The fruit literally caresses my palate with a very crisp and long finish. Personally, this is a wine that I would like to drink many more times. Elegant, aerial and vibrant. Great job! 17.5/20 points. (FC)"
