Description
96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The 2021 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills has a medium ruby color and pretty scents of cinnamon stick, aniseed, iron, underbrush and charcuterie with a core of red cherries and cranberries. Medium-bodied yet very concentrated, it has a powdery frame, sparks of refreshing acidity and a very long, graphite-driven finish. Precise and detailed, it deserves to spend another 2-3 years in bottle."(EB) (12/2022)
Vinous Reverie Notes
Sourced from Domaine de la Côte estate vineyards 94%, and the remaining 6% from La Riconada Vineyard (Sta. Rita Hills AVA). 2021 Sandhi Pinot Noir 'Sta. Rita Hills' leads with crunchy red fruits of pomegranate, wild strawberry, and sun-warmed raspberry. The exuberantly fruited nose is undergirded with orange zest, black tea, tea rose, and faint hints of clove and spice. The bright, vivacious palate carries a taut mineral streak through to a lengthy finish lifting the red fruit notes with a whisper of anise.
