Description

"This is a great appellation wine blended with small amounts of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Cedar, char and celery salt accent tight, refined tannins that grip the palate with intense flavor and texture. Black currant, crushed rock and a hint of toasted oak also contribute. Enjoy best from 2027-2032." *Cellar Selection*

"The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with 10% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc. It has a deep ruby color and fragrance of Morello cherries, chocolate, mushrooms, savory herbs and pipe tobacco. The full-bodied palate is powdery and plush with soft, alluring streaks of herbal character and a long, layered finish. It could still use a few years in bottle."
Vinous Reverie Notes
This bottling of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, with varying amounts of Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot, comes from carefully selected locations throughout the Napa Valley AVA: Napa Valley, St. Helena, Oak Knoll, Napa-Carneros, Mt.Veeder, Calistoga, and Rutherford. By using grapes from all over the celebrated AVA the bottling's terroir is influenced by silt, clay, and gravel deposits of the Napa River flood plain. Tasting Notes: Aromatically the wine has notes of star anise, dried rose petals, along with jammy blackberries and cherries and pencil lead. On the palate the wine borders full-bodied, with a cocoa driven flavor, well-integrated tannins, and a long finish.
