Description
96 points Wine Enthusiast
"Wiston is known for its multifaceted Blanc de Blancs and this nonvintage bottle is an excellent example. A beautifully perfumed nose of baked apple and pear tart, hazelnut and white blossoms leads gracefully into a palate of pristine acidity and silky texture. In between, the fine bubbles, toast and grilled orchard fruit linger on the long and satisfying finish."
Jancis Robinson
"Pure chalk soil. 24 months on the lees.
Gently smoky/toasty. Subtle on the palate, too. Incredibly refined in both flavour and mousse. Fruit is mainly citrus but it is the integration of the whole that stands out, and the length. 17/20 points. (JH)"
Vinous Reverie Notes
A family-owned operation through and through, Wiston Estate is located in the West Sussex equivalent of Champagne's Cote des Blancs subregion: The chalky, flint-topped hills of South Downs.
