Description
Vinous Reverie Notes
Plots of white, gray and red grape varieties planted between 1963 and 2011 on slate. The plots have been replanted with white grape varieties and some red grape varieties. Recently, Marjorie and Stéphane Gallet added Muscat, Grenache Gris, Blanc and Noir, Picpoul and Cinsault. The wine gets its color from the subtle use of the different red grape varieties: that light pink comes from the terroir, not from the winemaking process. Delicate mother of pearl. The 2021 Les Vignes Metissées smells of quince, apple, bread crust and fine spices such as coriander, cinnamon, dried ginger and star anise. The aromas are animating, have an intense, beguiling effect and open up a new world of vinification. Tasting Notes: A compact, spicy drop with lots of fruit and fine fruit sweetness appears on the tongue. Clear herbal notes of rosemary, juniper and thyme, which are even more pronounced on the palate than on the nose, underline its Mediterranean flair. A wonderful accompaniment to puristic herbal cuisine.
