Description
93 points James Suckling
"A tight, fruity white with sliced-apple and light banana notes and some stone undertones. Medium-to full-bodied, reserved, dense and beautiful. Flavorful finish. Drink or hold."
93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The 2018 Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières is showing very nicely from bottle, offering up a youthful but already expressive bouquet of citrus oil, pear, blanched almonds, pastry cream and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, racy and incisive, it's elegantly textural, with fine concentration, tangy acids, and a precise, mineral finish. While this Perrières is already deceptively charming, if it gains in depth and complexity with bottle age as much as I suspect it will, this score may seem conservative."
93 points Vinous
"The 2018 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru comes from 1.2 hectares over three different parcels. It has an intense bouquet of crushed rock, pressed yellow flowers, hints of nectarine and yellow plum that develops with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, quite gentle and very pretty for a Perrières, leading to a caressing, pineapple- and passion-fruit-tinged, waxy-textured finish. Very fine."
Jancis Robinson
"BP&F have 1.2 ha in two plots. One, in Dessous in an old Roman quarry on the border with Puligny, producing wines that Frédéric Weber describes as true Perrières, salty and rich. The other plot is higher, retains more acidity and produces wine close in style to Chevalier-Montrachet.
Intense and really big! Green fruit but alcohol evident. Overall demonstrating the concentration of Perrières with, in this case, a hint of almonds. 18/20 points."
