Description
91 points Wine Enthusiast
"This bold and full-bodied wine offers dark-chocolate, vanilla and blackberry flavors on firm tannins for a big mouthfeel. Powerful and concentrated, it should improve from 2025 through 2030."
Vinous Reverie Notes
California Blend (Cabernet Sauvignon is from Sonoma, all other fruit is from Lanza Vineyards, Suisun Valley, CA). Symphony is a classically styled left bank Bordeaux blend, primarily featuring Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Malbec and other selected fruit. This wine spends at least one year in new American oak from Minnesota which gives it hints of well-integrated spice and vanilla. As with other great left bank of Bordeaux wines, it has a wonderful aroma of dark fruits including raspberries, blackberries, and cassis. It has a lingering finish and wonderful, smooth mouth feel. At this point it is still young; however, the tannins are beginning to be supple and, as the wine matures it will simply get better and better. After bottling, this wine will taste best if it is held for a bit before opening.
