"66% Zinfandel, 34% Petite Sirah.
Pale provençal pink. Mineral with bright strawberries – just slightly crunchy and underripe. So fresh and mouth-watering. I do think it would be fair to say that, because it is 8 am and I am at a Petite Sirah tasting, I may be slightly biased towards this wine … but I've done my best not to be. And perhaps we should all drink more rosé with brunch. 17/20 points. (SCJ)"

Vinous Reverie Notes
Winery: This wine, harvested from two distinctive vineyards in Rutherford and Calistoga, is conceived of as a Rosé of Intent - a natural, fresh, spicy evocation of what’s possible when these two classic partners in red wine - Zin and Petite Sirah—decide to make a white wine together. The shoulders (‘wings’) of our estate Zinfandel are harvested for this wine - think of it as a late green harvest. All I know is that in doing so, I make use of all the Zinfandel fruit on the ranch, and the quality of the (red) Zinfandel fruit has benefited from this practice. Named for two of my favorite Roses on the ranch, Ingrid Bergman & Julia Child, I like to say that this is “ A beautiful wine with a spicy accent”. Food Pairing: A crisp, dry, Provencal-style Rosé is a versatile and cross-seasonal wine to pair with every cuisine - Oysters (add Pomegranate Vinegar Mignonette), Charcuterie, Smoked Trout bruschetta or Baby Back Ribs.
