Description
91 points Jeb Dunnuck
"The 2022 Tavel Vieilles Vignes (60% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, and 10% Syrah) has a classic Tavel deeper ruby hue as well as powerful aromatics of framboise, candied strawberries, white pepper, and hints of Provençal garrigue. Beautiful on the palate as well, it has plenty of richness, medium body, and a clean, dry finish. A terrific Tavel, it brings plenty of richness while staying light on its feet and balanced."

"60% Grenache (>50 years old), 30% Syrah (>40 years old), 10% Cinsault (>40 years old). 100% destemmed. Big round pebbles, red clay on the plateau and on sand in Vallongues. Aged 6 months in concrete tanks. No fining and very light filtration. Organic.
Pale tomato red. Masses of fruit, flavour and alcohol. And texture! This is serious wine. With a certain apparent sweetness. Choose food with it wisely. I could imagine charcuterie …16.5/20 points."
