Description
96 points Jeb Dunnuck
"A big, ripe, opulent, and sexy white, the 2021 Hermitage Blanc has honeyed orchard and quince-like fruit, medium to full body, some acacia flower and spicy nuances, a layered, decadent mouthfeel, and that rare mix of freshness and richness that's so hard to deliver."

"Warm and open, this also has hidden depth and impressive length. Shows yellow apple and singed orange layered with sun tea, juicy plum and salted brioche on the round palate. Lined with citrus oil and wet stone, the finish is marked by bitter quinine. Delicious. Marsanne and Roussanne. Drink now through 2030. 400 cases made, 50 cases imported."

"80% Marsanne (vines aged over 50 years), 20% Roussanne (vines aged over 40 years). From Pierrelles, Beaume, Murets and La Croix. Aged for 12 months in new and one-year-old barrels then a further 12 months in Stockinger foudre. Cask sample.
Real honeysuckle nose. Floral top notes. Some sinewy raciness here – long and exciting. Should age well. Though it is already pretty lovely. More depth to it than the Condrieu 2021. 18/20 points."
