The wines of the Jura are currently experiencing a resurgence of interest understandable. This small region off the beaten track is full of high quality wines, all more original than the others. Very vivacious, local traditions give rise to wines that surprise at first sight and seduce curious lovers. These wines highlight such unique autochthonous varietals; the astonishing savagnin, whether or not he is warted, and his outstretched whites going as far as the formidable yellow wines and other Château-Chalon; the poulsard, which gives reds little colored but spicy, fond and wonderfully greedy; and the trousseau, the rarest, capable of great care and complexity if it is well controlled in the hands of expert winegrowers.
