92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The 2021 Yarra Junction Pinot Noir is very light in color and low in alcohol too (11%). On the nose, you get cherries, tobacco, garden mint, star anise, fennel seeds and blood plum along with enoki, pastrami and green peppercorns. It has a mouth-filling quality, despite its very fine frame."
Jancis Robinson
"Pale crimson. Utterly seductive red-fruit aroma. Moreish, scented, mouth-watering. Clearly on the lighter end of the spectrum but not lean or mean. On the palate the scent of wild strawberries, tannins tight and fine. Long and pure. 17/20 points. (JH)"
Vinous Reverie Notes
The Yarra Valley Pinot blends declassified barrels from each of winery's single vineyard wines: Coldstream, Woori Yallock, Yarra Junction, Seville, Wesburn and Hoddles Creek, and four clones. Ten percent whole bunch, and partial foot stomped, this spent up to 30 days on skins, before 11 months in oak prior to being bottled unfined and unfiltered. Earthy cherry, raspberry, moss, whiffs of tobacco swell with an easy rise to the finely pepper smoked, spiced finish. Bright acid, tannins are whisper fine, more a suggestion to house the slight body. Twelve degrees alcohol, this is best with a light chill.
