Description
Vinous Reverie Notes
Previously owned by Bernardin monks before being transformed into a wine estate. Family owned for five generations. The vineyards are plowed and fertilized with organic compost made of the marc from spent grape skins. There is a natural grass cover in the vineyards and much effort for preserving biodiversity around the vineyard, where olive, almond, cypress trees, wild rosemary and capers also grow. The wine is produced from vineyards that spread over the south-east side of the Dentelles de Montmirail hills, in Beaumes de Venise in the southern part of the Rhone valley. Tasting Notes: Deep, dense, tightly packed nose with smoky herbal essences and lovely peppery, stemmy fragrance. Round and full-bodied, very rich with concentrated black fruits - but the acidity is perfectly balanced and the tannins are pleasingly muscular.
