Description
93 points Vinous
"The 2020 Chablis Vaulorent 1er Cru has an arresting, gunflint-scented bouquet that has real focus and delineation. Wonderful. The palate is very well balanced with a sharp line of acidity. Good weight, a bit "mean" perhaps, yet there is ample freshness and lip-smacking sapidity on the finish. It does not have wide appeal of other Chablis...and it doesn't care. Superb. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis. (Sep 2022)"
93 points Allen Meadows, Burghound
"(from a 2.2 ha holding). This also displays a plenitude of classic Chablis character with its combination of various shellfish, mineral reduction and algae with overtly floral white fleshed fruit aromas. Here too there is excellent concentration to the unusually powerful larger-scaled flavors that also possess fine balance on the wonderfully persistent, clean and quite dry but not really austere finale. At least some patience strongly advised. Drink: 2030+."
