Feudo di Santa Tresa estate has around 123 acres of vineyards in the historical vine growing region of Vittoria. Lying close to the Mediterranean, Feudo di Santa Tresa’s vineyards benefit from cooling sea breezes. The estate’s soil consists of a layer of light, red, sandy loam (terra rossa) resting on top of a limestone base, which helps retain vital water. In order to preserve this rich terroir, only natural techniques are used to assist cultivation. In addition, only natural fertilizers are used to avoid introducing chemicals into the topsoil. Undersoil irrigation is utilized to prevent evaporation, thereby maximizing water efficiency. Blend: 70% Grillo and 30% Viognier. Tasting Notes: Straw yellow color. The nose opens with aromas of white flowers, citrus and tropical fruit and evolves in more complex exotic fruit, dried apricot and vanilla notes. On the palate it is perfectly balanced between fruit flavors and a lively citrus acidity.
