The Les Sources d'Agape  estate is located in the town of Saint-Amour-Bellevue , the northernmost of the Beaujolais villages. Like the Clos des moines Clunisiens, the estate consists of an island of 6 hectares of vines in Cru Saint-Amour. The estate overlooks the appellation, on the slopes of Mont-Besset. There is sandstone that outcrops in the upper part, then sandstone scree and finally alluvial deposits, which implies superficial soils on the top and increasingly deep on the bottom of the estate. This hillside on the place called Côte de Besset is oriented east-north-east. The vines planted in Gamay have an average age of 60 years, the oldest dating from 1947. They are conducted in goblet (mostly not trellised), a secular practice in the vineyard but not conducive to mechanization. With a high density - around 10,000 vines per hectare - you have to prune, bind, shear, dig, harvest, all by hand according to the gestures developed by the elders that you have to learn patiently and that mechanization cannot replace.
