Description
90 points Wine Enthusiast
"Six Barreau family generations give the wine a good pedigree. It is smoothly textured and full of fruit. A sliced green-apple aroma, and juicy citrus and kiwi flavors make a fine combination. Drink now.”
Vinous Reverie Notes
Chateau Haut-Garriga is located in Entre-Deux-Mers and has been producing wine for six generations. They manage 75 hectares of vines and produce 15,000 cases of wine. Sauvignon blanc is spread on the coolest soils of the estate to exalt fruit aromas. Muscadelle and Semillon form an ideal complement in the clay soils closer to the Dordogne. Tasting Notes: Pale yellow with greenish tints. Fresh nose with straw and citrus touches. The freshness enables the flavors to last from beginning to end with delicate grapefruit and lemon notes. Food pairings: Oysters, steamed mussels, light white fish like sole or flounder, shrimp scampi, goat cheese salads, asparagus dishes, light pasta with herbs and olive oil, or citrus-dressed salads
