Description
95 points Guia Penin
"Bright cherry. Balsamic, sweet spices, wild herbs, mineral. Good acidity, fruity, fresh."
Vinous Reverie Notes
A magnificent example of the work being done by Jiménez Landi winery, Piélago is also one of the reds that have valued the old Grenache vines that grow in the small DO Méntrida. Made from the fruit that grows in 7 small plots of the municipality of El Real de San Vicente, it is a "village wine" that treasures all the freshness and elegance expressed by the fashionable red variety in one of its idyllic settings: the Sierra de Gredos. A wine that has marked an era, without a doubt. Tasting Notes: On the nose it is intense, highlights the very ripe black fruit, almost passing, with a powerful mineral sensation. Balsamic, very noble woods, blue flowers like lilacs appear and even some more pencil point notes. On the palate it has a powerful entry that is diluted as it passes through the mouth. Nice tour. Very fruity aftertaste, with ripe black fruit.
