Description
* Hachette Guide (Very successful)
"Managed for ten years in biodynamics by François Barmès, this estate has ninety plots on nine different terroirs. This Riesling has its roots in the warm soils (sand and pebbles) of Herrenweg, a locality resting on the dejection cone of the Fecht in Turckheim. He produced a wine marked on the nose and on the palate by overripe notes (yellow fruits and quince) accompanied by a touch of violet. Frank and fresh, well structured, this 2006 is very successful for the vintage. It will now accompany a dish in sauce."
Vinous Reverie Notes
Herrenweg - This locality, located in Turckheim, is a lowland vineyard planted on sandy-silty soil with dejection cones . These soils, which can be described as "minute soils", react quickly to the climatic vagaries of vintages. It produces open and complex wines in which the character of the vintage can bring all its originality.
