92 points Robert Parke's Wine Advocate
"The 2011 Sein is an energetic blend of 60% old Monastrell and 40% young Syrah aged for 12 months in barrel. The color is dark cherry, with clean aromas of tobacco, dark fruits and some tree-bark. The palate combines the roundness of the old Monastrell and the freshness of the young Syrah, and comes through as quite drinkable and pleasurable. Some tannins need to be polished with a little bit of time in bottle. 45,000 bottles were made. This is very good value wine. Drink 2014-2016. Vinessens is small a family winery that was created in 2007 by the third generation of grape growers of the Sierra Salinas zone. They have 23 hectares of vineyards in the Villena zone, some of them 60-year-old (and older) Monastrell. The new generation has studied in Bordeaux, and all the wines have a clear, clean, precise profile. I wonder what would happen if they produced a pure old-vine Monastrell. A new name to follow."
