"Beautiful aromatics of black fruit, with chocolate and damson tones. Blackberries and black forest fruits on the palate with elegant oak and perfect acidity. Really long pure finish."

"Moving to the reds, the 2016 Macedonia Barovo (50% each of Vranec and Kratosija) is a steakhouse red that packs loads of ripe cassis and blackberry fruits as well as notes of graphite and spice. Full-bodied, concentrated, and packed with fruit, it stays balanced and has good overall freshness."
Vinous Reverie Notes
Grape varieties: Kratosija, Vranec. Barovo is a village and an emerging subzone within the rapidly developing wine scene in Macedonia. Located at higher elevation (between 500-600 meters above sea level) than the rest of the vineyards farmed by Tikves, it produces wine of greater freshness and finer tannins giving the wine a noticeable Piedmont-like precision and utility at the table.
