Jancis Robinson
"Deep crimson and a little less open than their Unfiltered Saperavi. Dusty/mineral at first, then lovely savoury dark fruit, just a little charry. Chewy overall still but fine tannins. Needs a bit more time. Serious potential for complexity and elegance and already good for the table. Refined and long. 17+/20 points. (JH)"
Vinous Reverie Notes
Wine made from Georgian indigenous grape variety Saperavi, using Georgian ancient traditional technology – wine is made in “Qvevri” the clay vessel that is buried underground. Tasting Notes: Beautiful dark inky color. Aromas of red cherry and complex and concentrated flavors of redcurrant, cranberry and blueberry. The wine has medium to high acidity and a balanced tannin structure. Food Pairing: steak with mushrooms.
