92 points James Suckling
"This has a fresh nose of sliced green apples, lime zest, fennel and seashells. Bright, zesty and mineral, with a medium body. Linear, vivid and refreshing. Drink now."

"The 2021 Etna Bianco Buonora is nuanced and savory in the glass, impressing with a mix of yellow apple, dried florals, hints of raw almond and smoke. This is soft-textured with a lovely acid balance that motivates its saline-tinged orchard fruits and hints of sour melon. The Buonora finishes with finesse, both lightly structured and classically dry. This is already so pretty today, but with the potential for short-term cellaring."
Vinous Reverie Notes
Buonora is Tascante's white wine from Mount Etna made from 100% Carricante. The grapes, known for ripening late and gaining serious complexity with age, come from communes of Sant Alfio on the eastern side of Mount Etna and Castiglione di Sicili on the north side. The vineyards were planted in 2003, both situated in a cool climate along the volcano slopes. The soils are made up of shallow volcanic, with a heavy amount of stones throughout. After harvest, the grapes are pressed and fermented in stainless steel before undergoing bâtonnage for three months before bottling.
