"Full bottle 1,137 g. Screwcap. 100% Garganega. Cool fermentation in stainless steel.
Bravo, Tamellini, for the lightweight bottle. Super-fresh and zippy – a lively little number tasting of fresh-fresh-fresh cold green apples and white grapefruit, sliced cucumber and green pear, and a firm dot of chalk plunked right in the middle. The wine does a tra-la-la on the tongue leaving a cheeky little tingle of spritz and an airy wave of white blossom in its wake. I love this. Absolutely perfect balance for a dry, light-alcohol wine, with mouth-watering freshness, plenty of flavour and so much integrity. Not trying to be anything other than Soave, but doing that with heart and soul. VGV 17/20 points. (TC)"
Vinous Reverie Notes
Aspiring to excellence, owners Gaetano and Pio Francesco Tamellini have earned the estate an outstanding reputation as one of only two dozen estate-bottled growers and producers of authentic Soave. With the assistance of Paolo Caciorgna, one of Italy’s most accomplished white winemakers, the metamorphosis from supplier to producer began in 1998. Less than 10 years later after first planting, Tamellini’s Soave has become one of the world’s most enjoyable white wines. Tasting Notes: Straw Yellow. Beautiful varietal notes of apricots, honey and wild flowers come together on a mid-weight frame, showing lovely clarity and a focused, energetic finish. Food Pairing: Serve as an aperitif, delicate pasta dishes, pizza margherita with mozzarella di bufala and basil.
