Jancis Robinson
"100% Garganega cultivated on pergola, and this traditional method sparkling wine (24 months on the lees) from the 2010 vintage throws out of the window the persistent misconception that pergola cannot produce good or even great wine. This wine, a sparkling Soave in anything but name, might seem extreme, but there is a long tradition of making Soave Recioto in a sparkling version that is rarely seen in export markets.
Intense straw. Striking nose of honey with savoury spicy notes and a hint of dried porcini, wax, dried camomile, orange peel and salty, minerally hints. Fine, persistent, creamy CO2 and concentrated, honeyed waxy fruit flavours, and dry. Highly original, very different from any other sparkling wine and with the capacity to still age further. 17+/20 points. (WS)"

Walter Speller of JancisRobinson.com - Some great pergola wines
"100% Garganega cultivated on pergola. The grapes are whole-bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel. The secondary fermentation is in bottle, after which the wine stays at least five(!) years on the lees before it is disgorged. This sparkling Soave might seem extreme, but there is a long tradition of making Soave Recioto in a sparkling version that is rarely seen on export markets. This is the completely dry version, however."
Vintage Sparkling Wine Extra Brut by Tamellini is a Traditional Method from Garganega grapes from Soave area, aged on the lees in bottle for 24 months. On the nose it evokes scents of yellow fruits, citrus and pastries. On the palate it is fresh, slender, taut, mineral and energetic.
