Description
93 Points James Suckling
Lovely aromas of fresh strawberry, red cherry, rose and rosemary. Full-bodied with fine, silky tannins. Vibrant and dense on the palate, with so much fresh red fruit. Layered and very nicely balanced. A hint of woody spice adds complexity. Lemony acidity. Seriously tasty.
Jancis Robinson
"Transparent ruby, garnet rim. Smells of old stone-floored church dust, pot pourri and raspberries. So rich and hot and silky and sweet that it tastes almost more like raspberry liqueur than wine. And yet that fiery sweetness is exquisitely balanced – the heat of the alcohol is tempered by a minty coolness; the intensity of the sweet fruit by dry spices; the heavy satin weight by the acidity that infuses every mouthful. The tannins come wrapped in the silk of the fruit, and yet their scuffed-driftwood texture presses through and grips gently. Bravo. 17/20 points. (TC)"
Vinous Reverie Notes
Blend: 90% Cannonau and 10% Carignano. Tasting Notes: Santadi Cannonau di Sardegna “Noras” DOC is an intense ruby red, verging on garnet with complex notes of ripe blackberries, blueberries, mellow spices, myrtle, tobacco and chocolate.
