"This is very floral, with lots of violets, together with such attractive blueberries, blackcurrants, cherries, terra cotta and fresh herbs. The palate is very intense, with rich, fine tannins that have supple texture and bright, taut red and dark-berry flavors. Toasty-oak edge to the finish. So approachable. Drink or hold."

"We all know the many accolades this wine has attracted in the past. Interestingly, the fruit is sourced from Margaret River but it's made at Yalumba in SA. The South Australian penchant for American oak (rare in WA) shows, lending the wine a plush bed of texture. The succulent fruit is sensational, thanks to the brilliant 2020 vintage, making for yet another satisfying and value-for-money release from Ringbolt."
Vinous Reverie Notes
A bold crimson red in color with magenta hues. The nose has rich aromas of violets, black cherries and mulberries with hints of cassis and forest-floor characters. The wine opens with the pretty floral characters of the nose and a rich blackberry edge before progressing to the mocha oak mid palate and finishing with succulent tannins that continue the experience long after the wine has left your mouth. Pair with Angus beef fillet topped with garlic poached marron (what the locals refer to as steak and lake), or char-grilled kale with brown rice and onions.
