"Somewhat of an anomaly, this is an estate-grown 10-year tawny. From a house that dates more than 300 years, this outstanding port is just so delicious. Perfect as an after dinner treat or just as a sipper in front of the fireplace. "Juicy and engaging, with a mix of hazelnut, anise, dried cherry and sandalwood notes that race through a fine-grained, dried fruitcake-tinted finish. Well done. Drink now. 500 cases made, 100 cases imported."

"While this estate does concentrate on wines, it also makes some fine Ports. This balanced aged tawny combines the fruitiness of this style with hints of spice from wood aging. The wine is ready to drink."
"Pale red. Nuts and honey and just so gorgeous and deep. So much better than the average 10-year-old tawny. VGV (very good value) 17/20 points."
Vinous Reverie Notes
This is a blend of old Port wines with an average age of ten years. At ten years old the wine has already acquired the classic tawny characteristics of nuts, dried fruits and spices, but retains also a vibrant freshness which is one of the characteristics of Romaneira’s tawnies. Field Blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca. The grapes were trodden by foot and vinified in stainless steel “lagares” with temperature control between 77°F and 83°F. Aged in neutral oak barrels of 640 liters. The old tawnies spend their entire life in barrel until the moment of the final blend. Tasting Notes: Pale brick red tawny color. In its complex aroma, the vibrant young fruit blends deliciously with the attractive and characteristic dry fruits aromas like nuts. Rich and smooth on the palate it has an elegant structure and a long finish.
