Description
90 points Wine Enthusiast
"This wine starts off a little barnyardy, which is unusual for this producer. It blows off a little, but a leathery, earthy quality remains, along with slightly flashy oak. There's plenty of plump red-currant and blueberry fruit, though, along with violets and a peppery spice. The palate is supple and juicy with a soft grip of savory tannins and a tangy, exotic spiced finish. Drink now through 2027."

"From Gibbston subregion.
Voluptuous and generous nose with blackberry, red cherry, plum and stemmy herbal notes. Medium bodied with silky fine tannins and a rich generosity to the fruit. Lovely balance of savoury and sweet with a plummy hoisin note on the mid palate and good freshness throughout. Drinking beautifully at the moment. 17/20 points. (AC)"
