93 Points James Suckling
A pure and intense Sancerre with a saline edge to the smoky gooseberries that follow through to a textured, medium-bodied palate with a fresh laser beam of acidity. Mouthwatering, taut and mineral. So delicious now, so why wait?
90 Points Vinous
The very good value for money 2021 Sancerre Anciennes Vignes is so named because the vines are 30-45 year-old vines - anciennes meaning old rather than ancient in the same way that you'd see vieilles vignes on some labels. Low yields have created a wine with plentiful intensity while the limestone soils offer a tender expression. It's a floral, fruity and finely constructed Sancerre offering balance and harmony. -- Rebecca Gibb MW
