90 points Wine Enthusiast
"This is a smooth, richly fruity wine. Spice from wood aging and soft tannins give balance and concentration. Produced from organically grown grapes, the wine is ready to drink."
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The 2013 Lybra is a Syrah aged for 12 to 14 months (depending on the plot) in used French oak. It comes in at 13.5% alcohol. Understated and graceful, but still showing respectable depth for its price category, this fresh and rather seductive Syrah is caressing on the tongue, with velvety texture, plus controlled but lingering flavor."
Vinous Reverie Notes
Lybra is a sign of equilibrium and harmony and the delicate balance between the terrior, the vine and the grape. Made from 100% Syrah harvested in late September. Fermented in stainless steel and aged for 15 months in French barriques with an additional 12 months in bottle for further refinement. A youthful wine to enjoy everyday food. Tasting Notes: Ruby-red in color with aromas of ripe berry fruit, chocolate, and spices. On the palate, the wine has flavors of dark fruit, hints of chocolate and cassis, and some mineral notes. Full-bodied, with silky tannis and a long persistent finish. Food Pairing: Pair with Chateaubriand, chorizo empanadas, or lasagna bolognese.
