"Winemakers Braiden Albrecht and Andy Erickson crafted magic out of a difficult vintage, picking the grapes for this beautiful white well before the October 2017 fires. It's gorgeously racy and light, bright and effusive, offering fleshy flavors of peach and lemon. Licorice and fennel finish out the expressive wine, which persists in wet stone." *Editors' Choice*

"Very pretty, old-school style with sliced-lemon, apple and candied-lemon character. Creamy undertones. Full-bodied, tight and dense. Creamy yet tangy finish."

"The 2017 Chardonnay is a gorgeous wine that captures the phenolic, savory style that is so typical of these wines. Rich, layered and resonant in the glass, the 2017 has so much to offer. Time in the glass brings out a whole range of floral, herbal and citrus confit notes, but this is a Chardonnay built on a real sense of texture. The 2017 spent 22 months in oak and 6 months in steel."
Vinous Reverie Notes
Winery: High on the slopes of Mount Veeder, Mayacamas Vineyards has been a source of legendary California wine since 1889. Since the 1950’s the vinification and élevage of Mayacamas remains remarkably consistent and our continued commitment to employ classical techniques and tools is integral to the character of these wines. The mountain terroir at Mayacamas ranges from 1,800 to 2,400 feet in elevation and the estate spans 475 acres, only 50 of which are dedicated to vine. Tasting Notes: Aromas of ripe lemon honeysuckle and crushed oyster shell highlight the nose. On the palate, the wine has the classic Mayacamas acidity and is framed nicely by the textural richness in the mid-palate.
