"Light green-yellow, silver reflections. Tender white tropical fruit, a touch of herbal spice, delicate oak touch. Juicy, elegant, nuances of honeydew melon, a little salt and caramel in the finish, good length, has potential for aging."

"Only the merest hint of creaminess appears on the nose. The palate then comes in with smoky edges of hazelnut and corn husk. The body is sinuous and balanced, and it has a lovely texture as well as bright lemon freshness. There is some warmth, but this all strikes a lovely balance."
Vinous Reverie Notes
At 278 meters, the Schüttenberg is the highest point in the Arbesthal hill country. Its slopes run south and west. The very warm, south-facing vineyards are naturally planted with red wine varieties. The western part, which is bordered by the forest, shows ideal conditions for white wine. The soil has a little more lime and the morning and evening temperatures are much cooler than in the rest of the area. Here our 1.2 hectares of Chardonnay can ripen well into autumn without ever producing "fat" wines. Tasting Notes: A strong, very complex type of "white burgundy" that is not stingy with abundance of fruit, but at the same time provides a distinctive elegance with its salty minerality and close-knit texture. A wine that has a long life ahead of it and will always show new layers.
