95 points Decanter
"Lovely classy green-gold colour shouts Chardonnay. Minerals, chalk, a hint of spices, and fine, fine tension in the mouth. Moreish and complete, a fine long wine..."

“Powerful, resonant and beautifully textured in the glass. This is the Larmandier-Bernier style at its best. Almond, dried flower, lemon confit, chamomile and mint are all laced together in a super-expressive, resonant Champagne that is firing on all cylinders today. Ample and enveloping, the Longitude is a wine of pure and total class. Longitude is taken from chalk and limestone-rich sites in Vertus, Cramant and Oger that sit at the same longitude. Of these, only Vertus is a 1er Cru village, as Cramant and Oger are both Grand Crus.”

"This is a touch more full bodied than the Latitude cuvée, even though it is also 100% Chardonnay. There are some more evolved notes yet this remains very elegant and long. Chiselled but with softer edges. All the fruit here comes from the village of Vertus, as well as the grand crus of Avize, Cramant, Chouilly and Oger. Longitude reflects the character and finesse of these chalky soils.’ The disgorgement date can be found lasered into the glass of each bottle (but I learnt this only after the tasting …).
Appley nose and very lively and perky. Not cheap! But really vital and with more zest than many a grande marque. 17/20 points."
