91 points Wine Enthusiast
"Perfumed and elegantly mineral, this unoaked blend of Grenache (75%), Mourvèdre and Syrah (10%) was sourced from a diverse array of Gigondas soil types. Full bodied and profoundly ripe, it has restrained elegance, filling the palate with gleaming cassis flavor and enveloping the finish on soft, feathery tannins. At peak now–2027."
Jancis Robinson
"Tasted blind. Transparent garnet. Rich sweetness but this tastes really quite fine – very Grenache. Really rather charming with rose petals and sweetness. Not at all unlike a Gredos Garnacha! Just up my street. Great balance and very drinkable. Quite long. 17/20 points."
Good festive buys 2019 – reds
"I’d normally be wary of a wine with such a high alcohol level but this is Grenache at its most delicate-tasting (the Clos des Papes trick?), and has all the luscious rose-petal appeal of one of the finest Châteauneufs or, my new enthusiasm, Garnacha from the Gredos mountains outside Madrid."
Vinous Reverie Notes
Tasting Notes: The intensity of aromatics with liquorice, kirsch, rosemary and thyme is inviting and persists on the finish. While the fruit concentration is powerful, there is a touch of sweetness and spice on the mid-palate, the tannins powdery and firm, providing balance and focus.
