"Fruity and layered in waves of raspberry, strawberry and watermelon, this light, crisp wine delivers vibrant flavor and texture. Dried herb and a hint of lemongrass add complementary nuance and deliciousness."
Vinous Reverie Notes
Slusser Vineyard consists of 100 acres in the Middle Reach of Russian River Valley planted to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and Primitivo. Owned by the Slusser family for over 100 years, the Pinot Noir we intentionally source for our rosé was planted in 1998. Unique to the Middle Reach area, Slusser Ranch and neighboring vineyards contain a perceivable minerality in the finished wines as a result of the bordering Mark West Creek’s flooding and redepositing of soils into the vineyard. Tasting Notes: Bursting with aromas of fresh peach, lychee, passionfruit, alpine strawberry, and underripe kiwi, the 2020 Slusser Vineyard Rosé of Pinot Noir is a highly aromatic, crisp rosé with mouthwatering acidity and a dry mineral finish. The faint salmon color is stunning in your glass and can be paired with fresh summer salads, seafood, cheese & charcuterie, or enjoyed on its own.
