Vinous Reverie Notes
Jancis Robinson - Previous Vintage Review
"Pale gold. A delicate chamomile and mimosa blossom nose. A blade of minerality set against honeyed stone fruit and creamy apple in a chalky frame. An undercurrent of green on the shimmering finish. 17/20 points."
“Jean-Francois Merieau is clearly a major Touraine talent, and the fact that his numerous wines bear some of the most striking and delightful new labels I have encountered in a long time should help draw wine lovers’ attention. Predictably, the two standouts from my recent tasting were Merieau’s bottlings of Sauvignon and Malbec” ~ David Schildknecht, Wine Advocate
A pure example of Chenin Blanc and one that comes from limestone-rich soils, Fleuve Blanc is a crisp and dry version of the variety sourced from Jean-François’ vineyards supplemented by fruit purchased from conscientious neighbors.
