"The nose is quite reserved, showing some melon, pear and lavender. Then, on the palate, the expansion starts on a base of silky almond cream and builds up slowly and steadily through the long, long finish. Aftertaste of lemon cream. Never ebullient, but medium-bodied, layered and silky, this is quiet refinement flexing its muscles. Total balance. Beautifully done. All in place. Best ever."

"The 2019 Soave Classico Foscarino is honeyed and floral, with hints of almond paste enriching the crushed apples and pears that form its bouquet. This is rich and pliant, almost glycerol-like in feel, contrasted by depths of saline-minerals and citrus-tinged acidity. It’s a remarkably deep and almost heady experience wine, yet it’s balanced by a serious salty character that turns floral toward the close with a hint of young kiwi. The 2019 is a really fascinating expression of textures and perfumes. Color me impressed."
Vinous Reverie Notes
Vigneti di Foscarino is Inama’s interpretation of the Soave Classico that looks back to ancient times. It recalls ancestral traditions in order to express forgotten aromas. Situated between 100m to 200m above sea level with a southeast exposure, the vineyard is located on basaltic-volcanic soil on the Monte Foscarino. The wine comes from a selection of old vines, more than 40 years old trained using the Pergola system. 100% Garganega: this variety was introduced in the Classic area 2,000 years ago by the Romans. Fermentation takes place in used barriques. Prior to racking, batonnage is carried out every 6 weeks for about 6 months. The final wine settles for 6 months in stainless steel vats. Tasting Notes: Aromatically the wine has notes of honeysuckle and other sweet wildflowers. On the palate, the mouthfeel is a little larger, with almond flavors as well as a finish of balancing minerality that shows exciting aging potential.
