Description
Jancis Robinson
"Lamole – Greve in Chianti. 90% Sangiovese with 10% Canaiolo from old vines at 550 m above sea level. Aged partially in concrete and partially in 500-litre tonneaux. Certified organic.
Lustrous mid ruby. Exciting deep nose of cherry with a hint of mace and a dark peppery tingle. Racy cherry fruit with plenty of depth and concentration and at the same time elegant. Long, focused and racy and with long, finely grained tannins. Captivating. 17.5/20 points. (WS)"
Vinous Reverie Notes
Casole has belonged to the Grassi family since 1600. The Grassi family were winegrowers, but also blacksmiths: they owned a workshop located in the ancient village overlooking the farms which supported the agricultural activity for many years. From here originates the name of this locality and of the company. Tasting Notes: Ruby red with slight purplish reflections. Intense, with fragrant notes of violets and red fruits; on the palate it has an excellent drinkability with light and sweet tannins followed by a long finish of red fruits.
