Description
Jancis Robinson
"A blend of equal proportions of Narvaux, Tillets, Clos du Cromin, Limozin and Chevalières. 45-year-old vines planted at 10,000 vines/ha at 280 m asl. Yields 45 hl/ha. Spontaneous fermentation. 20% aged in 350-litre new oak barrels for 10 months.
Good vibrant blend of bright fruit and crystalline and super-punchy. Richer than an Ente Meursault, for instance; not too skinny. Just splits the buttery/austere difference. Chalky texture on the end. Excellent for a village wine. 17.5+/20 points."
Vinous Reverie Notes
A very Meursault-like nose features notes of hazelnut, citrus, mineral reduction and acacia blossom. There is ample minerality to the citrusy and chiseled medium weight flavors that conclude in a moderately tightly wound and bone dry finish where a hint of wood surfaces. While this well-made effort is certainly energetic, the mouth feel is almost delicate. In a word, lovely. Don't miss! Outstanding.
