Description
94 points Wine Enthusiast
"Funky reduction has taken this wine's nose over completely. There is yeast, smoke and flint but in an intensely earthy yet fresh manner. The taut, slender palate, however, flirts with ripe Mirabelle while bright, zesty lemon provides a wonderfully fresh core. The body itself is slender, with wonderful depth."

"Light yellow-green, silver reflections. Fine meadow herbs on the nose with mineral notes, nuances of stone fruit, peaches and orange zest. Juicy, elegant, silky texture, fine acidity, delicate ripe sweet white tropical fruit and a salty finish. Already drinking very well."
Vinous Reverie Notes
Gernot and Heike Heinrich put their heart and soul into their wines and it shows in this diverse range with energy and finesse. Heinrich has a Cru level vineyards on the Leithaberg, southwest of Vienna. They are passionate about biodynamics because they feel it’s right for the planet but also because Gernot believes that the best wines express a sense of place and that they can only do this if they're rooted in a biologically diverse environment and the vines live in symbiosis with a healthy ecosystem. Heinrich's 'Leithaberg' Chardonnay is a wine that builds in flavor and enjoyment the longer you have it in your glass. It transports you to the vines of the Leitha Mountains, unfolding into layers of orchard fruit, peach, lemon curd and toasted nuts, with a lightly creamy finish. A beautiful Chardonnay with extended lees ageing and a soft texture that comes from old oak ageing. Fantastic value, and especially delicious with chicken cooked in sage butter, or even halibut cooked in brown butter.
