91 points Wine Enthusiast
"This grape, finished bone-dry, is a true strength at Foris, keeping the varietal accents of powdery perfume in check, and giving space for it to be more versatile with a variety of foods, not just spicy noodle dishes. Citrus rind, grapefruit and lychee components are all in play and in balance, and there is nothing sour about the finish." *Best Buy*
Vinous Reverie Notes
With original planting dating back to 1975, Foris is a steward to some of the oldest Gewürztraminer vineyards in Oregon. Gewürztraminer can be fickle to grow and to capture the exotic spice and perfume that is imbedded in the vibrant pink berries as it is transformed into wine. is is especially true when producing a dry style of Gewürztraminer, for which Foris is renowned. Tasting Notes: Bright straw-gold in color and has delicate aromas of yellow rose, lychee, and peach with the rose and cardamom gathering intensity with development. The wine clings to the palate with notes of nectarine, citrus, rose petal and orange pith. It finishes with sweet ginger and white pepper tones.
