"A bright and fresh style, with a mix of raspberry, cherry and red currant coulis flavors, underscored by light bramble and mineral accents. Shows good juicy energy through the finish, revealing latent depth. Grenache and Syrah. Best from 2020 through 2025."
"Cask sample. Baked fruit, as if from much riper fruit than their Rasteau and Cairanne. Achieves floral fragrance too, and a well-managed touch of oak spice. Moderately furry tannin with great fruit purity through the finish. 16.5/20 points. (RH)
Vinous Reverie Notes
Importer: We really like the terroir of Vinsobres, a beautiful village located near Vaison la Romaine. The vineyard is at an altitude of 300 meters (984 feet) and is situated for the most part on terraces. Vinsobres is particularly suitable for Syrah because it preserves the finesse which is often lost in more southern climates. It develops notes of violet, smoked meat, and blackberries. Grenache is also suited to this terroir, full-bodied and not heavy, with notes of black chocolate, cherry, and typical garrigue aromas.
