"An inspired collaboration sees classic Catalan sparkling wine combine with a hint of Andalucian flair, this is far from your average Cava. A producer keen to experiment with styles and grape varieties, this is 100% Chardonnay sourced from Colet's vineyards in the Penedès hills. It's a traditional-method fizz, but the fun part comes with the addition of Manzanilla Pasada as the liqueur d'expedition. Aged for 41 months, it's golden in colour with ripe pineapple aromas dominated by brioche, sweet pastry and buttery biscuits. This translates beautifully on the palate, with those typical yeasty notes coming from the flor leaving a full, creamy mouthfeel, followed by a nice limey bitterness on the finish."

"Aged 41 months on lees. Bone dry, it has virtually no residual sugar. The base wine is 100% Chardonnay, and the southern contribution is in the dosage (Manzanilla and Manzanilla Pasada). Disgorged October 2017.
A little darker in colour than the non-Reserve 2014, the aroma more rounded and sweetly yeasty. There is less finesse here but more open and specific flavours – still that tartness of quince but orange zest too and a breadth of biscuity sweetness. Showing the greater time on lees. Mouth-watering, dry and long. Although this is richer than the non-Reserve 2014, and possibly even more persistent, I rather prefer the precision and elegance of the 2014. 17.5/20 points. (JH)"
Vinous Reverie Notes
Colet Navazos Extra Brut Reserva has been bottle every year since the 2006 vintage. This is a sparkling wine under the appellation Penedés produced according to the traditional (champenoise) method of secondary fermentation in bottle, starting with base wines sourced from Colet vineyards. The southern presence is felt in the secondary fermentation and especially in the use of different dosage wines.
